About the Product
This is a game that likely dates back to Native Americans, who are said to have played it with straws of wheat and called it “pick up sticks.” It was then passed on to English settlers back when the United States was but 13 colonies. The Hungarians also claim the game and called it “Zitterwackel”. With influence from Japonism in the 19th and 20th century, is thought to have become more widely known as “Mikado.” Our version is named after Hendrix the red fox. When Raisa’s tablet breaks, he fetches two long reeds from the woods (rosemary and thyme) which not only fix the break but helps the tablet to fly! The object is to gather the sticks with the highest value — without moving any others. You gain the point value of the sticks successfully lifted away. Great for testing the focus of 2 to 4 players, or for building a child’s dexterity! Fear not. This comes with instructions. We generally will keep a batch of these ready to ship.
